Intumescent polybutylene succinate: Ethylenediamine phosphate and synergists

چکیده
In this work, a series of intumescent flame retarded polybutylene succinate (PBS) formulations have been developed based on ethylenediamine phosphate (EDAP) and different co-additives, i.e., zinc borate, melamine molybdate, aminated multiwall carbon nanotubes, at relatively low loading (10 wt.%). Among them, borate endows the best synergistic retardant effect with EDAP in PBS. Cone calorimetry shows that addition ratio 8:2 (wt: wt) dramatically reduces peak heat release rate (pHRR) by 57% as compared to neat PBS, indicating excellent efficiency combination used only 10wt.%. Beside, benefitting from incorporation PBS/EDAP/ZnB exhibits smoke suppression good mechanical properties. Solid state NMR (11B, 13C, 31P) gives information determine mechanism ZnB It was found it involves formation reinforced char highly thermally stable inorganic species, which acts protective physical barrier increasing cohesion limiting cracks.

Biodegradable mesoporous calcium–magnesium silicate-polybutylene succinate scaffolds for osseous tissue engineering
The structural features of bone engineering scaffolds are expected to exhibit osteoinductive behavior and promote cell adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation. In the present study, we employed synthesized ordered mesoporous calcium-magnesium silicate (om-CMS) and polybutylene succinate (PBSu) to develop a novel scaffold with potential applications in osseous tissue engineering. The charac...
متن کاملBone Formation from Porcine Dental Germ Stem Cells on Surface Modified Polybutylene Succinate Scaffolds
Designing and providing a scaffold are very important for the cells in tissue engineering. Polybutylene succinate (PBS) has high potential as a scaffold for bone regeneration due to its capacity in cell proliferation and differentiation. Also, stem cells from 3rd molar tooth germs were favoured in this study due to their developmentally and replicatively immature nature. In this study, porcine ...
متن کاملPhaco capsulotomy in intumescent cataract.
Intumescent cataracts are challenging cases even for experienced phaco surgeons (Bhattacharjee et al, 1999; Ermiss et al, 2003). In these eyes, during capsulorhexis, there are very high chances of anterior capsule tears with peripheral extension due to the high pressure of the hydrated cataractous lens. Following this, the continuation of phacoemulsification is extremely difficult and is associ...
متن کاملFlame-Retardancy Properties of Intumescent Ammonium Poly(Phosphate) and Mineral Filler Magnesium Hydroxide in Combination with Graphene
Thermally reduced graphite oxide (TRGO), containing only four single carbon layers on average, was combined with ammonium polyphosphate (APP) and magnesium hydroxide (MH), respectively, in polypropylene (PP). The nanoparticle’s influence on different flame-retarding systems and possible synergisms in pyrolysis, reaction to small flame, fire behavior and mechanical properties were determined. TR...

PURPOSE To compare the intraoperative safety of two techniques of capsulorhexis for intumescent white cataracts: traditional one-stage continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis and two-stage continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis. METHODS This prospective comparative randomized study included two groups: the 1-CCC group (11 patients) received traditional one-stage continuous curvilinear capsulorhexi...
